If you could change the world.

First of all we’d like to thank Stay Vocal for helping us promote this contest and for donating some really amazing prizes. Show your respects and pay their website a visit at http://www.stayvocal.com .

This is the first official HAVEFUN skateboarding contest. The winner will be chosen by the awesome guys at havefun skateboards. Don’t worry we like to do that kind of stuff so we’ll play fair.

We want you to be creative. Think for yourself and most of all have fun. That’s what life is about right? Be carefree and take it easy and treat others with respect and dignity.  Treat others like you’d like to be treated.

    This is the good stuff.

    Prizes:

    1. 1 HAVEFUN Barack Obama Skateboard Deck (http://havefunskateboarding.com/shop/havefun-skateboards/barack-obama-skateboard-deck.html)

    3. Only U.S. entries will be able to win the grand prize. Sorry , shipping is horrible and we’re just a small company. Even shipping to Canada would break our bank account. We are truly sorry. But feel free to submit your ideas anyway, you never know who is going to read it!
    4. There will only be one winner.
    5. The contest will last for exactly 4 weeks and will end on October 2nd 2008 at midnight EST.

So now that you know the boring rules here’s the fun stuff. If you could  change the world and make it a more fun place to live in , how would you do that?

Would you buy every country and be the supreme ruler? Or would you promote peace and feed everyone? It’s time for change and it’s up to you to figure out the best solution.

You’d have unlimited resources to do this, but it can only be one thing. Think about it for a while. Write it in the comments below or on our other pages that are listed above.

    Havefun!!!!!

Hi, I’m LIL OG PANDA on Skateboard-city. Here’s what I would change if I could…

It seems these days, what with the all time high unemployment rate, that there are a lot of people on the streets. Well, I think they deserve a life that’s not spent surviving out on the streets. While I can’t go up to each person and hand them out money (would if I could), I certainly would do everything I could to help. I would gather money to build more soup kitchens, some areas where they can live free of charge, and raise amounts of money they can get from the unemployed office. Also, I think some clothing centers would be in order, along with some showers, so they could be presentable if they went to a job offering, because that’s what we’re focusing on right? Getting the people on the streets jobs? I would do my best to reduce gas prices and other basic living costs, so people can’t get out on the streets. I would attempt to make peace with everyone, and not war. War costs millions and millions of dollars on both sides, which is why we are currently in recession (in my opinion). Here are the costs of Tomahawk Cruise Missiles:
      $500,000 Unit Cost
      $11,210,000,000 total program cost
We’ve spent Billions of dollars on the tomahawk program. Billions!!! And that’s on them alone! Just by not creating those, we would’ve had 11 Billion dollars more to help our country with. Our priorities clearly need some readjustment. Something else I would do is increase the salary of the lower to the average working man, as to further bolster our people who aren’t in the slums. One more point I have to make is global warming. It’s getting pretty drastic. I would encourage everyone to drive electric or hybrid cars. If things got really bad, I would ban cars under 30mpg, if not all cars entirely.
Thanks For Reading, and I hope You’ll pick me for the Obama deck, as I think Obama is awesome.

A thing I would change in the world is more experienced teachers, more professional professionals, and so on until everything works for the better. What I mean by is, most elementary and middle school teachers are usually lacking professionalism. They usually have the choice of trying to be more “respectful” too students, as well as pressuring themselves too an extent of having 2+ jobs. My math teacher last year was the same way. She was about 22, had 3 jobs as a math teacher, math tutor, and a babysitter. Most of these jobs require too be respectful or too not scream at the top of your lungs. What I was thinking, that teachers shouldn’t have more than one job other than being a teacher, and being over the age of 25. Some students have hurt their lives by being screamed at while being younger at elementary school. Teachers THINK they can be more conscious, but it usually doesn’t work out. I was also thinking that they can take some sort of test, but in real life. This can also help function as former students too not be “angry” all the time, and that It can help the world hopefully worldwide. Thanks for reading, if you have any replys, just send an E-Mail at smoker.lee@gmail.com.

If I could do one thing to change the world, I’d ensure that every single person on this earth was full of immense love.

Not necessarily in the romantic sense, but also as relatives and friends and co-workers and children.

With love, one is never alone. Love is energy in a world of starvation, hope in times of desperation. Love is the solution to so many of the world’s most pressing issues. Love gives courage to the frightened, optimism to those that have been shut down so many times in their lives, a blanket in the cold, and powerful enough to alter lives and attitudes. Love is trust and faith.

Think of it: love for the rest of humanity would cause more people to contribute to all types of charities, including those for the starving people in all parts of the world and the genocide in Darfur.
Love would heal those who are broken and put an end to suicides, self-mutilation, drug abuse, and alcoholism.

And how much more beautiful would this life be if everyone cared about one another?

Love may be abstract, but it’s more concrete than the Greek ampitheaters that have survived for thousands of years.

Love would build a global community.

It’s not that hard to find. Passion is found in all kinds of places, we just have to be open enough to see the wells of love it radiates from.

If I could change the world, I would make us all more united. I mean, this is the United States but it shouldn’t even be called that. Most people don’t care about anyone but themselves. They don’t donate money, help or volunteer, or even just be friendly to other citizens of our country. The whole world could be united instead of fighting many wars with all this violence. I mean, in the beginning of time our world wasn’t so violent. It was peaceful and pleasant but many things have corrupted this idea of happiness. We should all try to contribute to this idea by just showing some appreciation to people who do things for you and just perform some random acts of kindness.

so the facts are simple. every time we make something better something gets worse. we make cars we get pollution. simple as that. the reason poverty and all that shhhhtuff exists is because of the middle class. if we eliminated poverty and gave everyone jobs then the middle class would cease to exist. problem. the middle class (majority of america) doesnt want that. they like gas being 4 buckeroos cause they can afford it with their blue collar jobs. my personal opinion is to hell with change. you cant do it all. yeah if you feel good about yourself at the end of the day then woopidy do but seriously who cares? i walked an old lady across the street! yay. shell be dead in 5 years. kinda a negative out look but all i can say for change is to float by and keep your head above water. things are going crazy, war in iraq to poverty and stuff, we cant change it all. some of it is necessary. that 7 dolla bottle of fiji water would be 17 bucks had there not been poor folk not demanding it cause they cant afford their ciggs. yeah poverty sucks, but if you want change make it for yourself. keep your head above water and do your own thing. thats all that matters. yeah if you can help people out thats a bonus but remember you want change for yourself you gotta make it happen. there are no freebies in life. sorry son thats the way it is.
